The auxiliary to the AANC is to support the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina and promote the auction profession.
Purpose
The purpose of the Auxiliary to the AANC is to support the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina and promote the auction profession. The Auxiliary is a strong and healthy organization that gives moral and financial aid to the AANC.
Membership
Any family member of an AANC member in good standing, is eligible for membership in the Auxiliary. Membership in the Auxiliary requires dues of only $5 per year.
Associate membership is also eligible to an individual for outstanding service to the Auxiliary or individual sponsored by AANC member in good standing.
Meetings
The general membership meeting is held on Saturday morning at 11:00 am during the AANC Convention. Current business and announcements of new and continuing programs are discussed, and reminders about educational seminars are made. The Auxiliary Board Members Meeting 8:00 am to discuss and implement the goals and projects of the Auxiliary. A luncheon and fun auction are held at noon Saturday to encourage camaraderie and raise funds for the various projects of the AANC Auxiliary.
Goals and Projects
The Auxiliary’s primary goal is to support the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina and to help educate the members of the Auxiliary. Some projects we have undertaken to accomplish these goals are:
- Provide Annual educational scholarships for relatives that are in good standing.
- Make a donation to a local charity which is voted on by the members.
- Maintain the Auxiliary registration desk at the Convention.
- Establish our own Hall of Fame for the AANC Auxiliary.
- Sponsor the luncheon and “Fun Auction” at that AANC Convention which provides the funds needed for the above mentioned projects.
Communication
News of activities of the AANC Auxiliary are reported in “The North Carolina Auctioneer”, the official publication of the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina. In this quarterly magazine, a section features information regarding the Auxiliary. This serves to keep everyone posted about upcoming items or deadlines for the Hall of Fame or Educational Scholarship applications. We need your ideas, your enthusiasm, and your support. We think you will recognize the value of the projects we work on at the State Conventions and throughout the year, and at the same time we share a lot of fun and fellowship.
